Microsoft hat heute das Service Pack 4 für Windows 2000 in der englischen Version veröffentlicht. Das kumulative Update-Paket enthält insgesamt 675 Bugfixes und Sicherheitspatches für das Microsoft-Betriebssystem.
Wie kürzlich auf der Website bink.nu bekannt gegeben wurde, wird vorerst lediglich die englische Sprachversion zum Download angeboten. Erfahrungsgemäß folgt die deutsche Version in Kürze.
Wie immer wird das Service Pack in zwei Varianten – als Network Install oder Express Install – angeboten. Eine komplette Liste aller im SP4 enthaltenen Updates finden Sie am Ende dieses Artikels.

Da würde ich doch mal sagen… scheisse…
aber irgendwie schon bischen selber schuld oder ? Deutsches Win2000 und dann ein englisches SP aufspielen würde ich wirklich NIE machen… aber muss ja jeder selber wissen…
Ausserdem wozu SP4 aufspielen ? Gibts nen driftigen Grund ? Ich denke NEIN also wirds auch nicht aufgespielt solange bis ich nur noch "positives" darüber höre…
Also dann noch viel Fun beim updaten mein Win2K läuft absolut genial und das auf fast 40 Kisten…

SP4 hat meine Win-Installation gekillt ;-(
Einfach nur über Standard Windows Update SP4 draufgeladen, alles schien ok, aber nach dem Reboot – boom. Nix geht mehr, booten nicht mehr möglich, da der Bootprozess abbricht und endlos rebootet. Safemode und alle anderen Modi funktionieren auch nicht.
Dies ist übelste K*cke ;-( Bin ich der einzige? Kann ich von M$ Schadenersatz verlangen? Hat jemand eine Idee wo das Prob liegt? Oder ist das ganze ein Hinweis, endliche auf Linux umzusteigen?
